New Delhi: The Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day hoisted the National Flag at the Secretariat Building. During his address, he announced the 'Deshibhakti Curriculum' from September 27, 2021, as a tribute to Shaheed Bhagat Singh.

CM Kejriwal said that this curriculum will instill patriotic values in our children. While making the announcement he said, "Our curriculum teaches Physics, Chemistry but not patriotism. This 'Deshbhakti Curriculum' will instil patriotic values in our children."

The Delhi government on Saturday initiated the rollout of the 'Deshibhakti Curriculum' in all government schools of the national capital. The Curriculum is in line with the chief minister's vision to make students true patriots. He was presented the curriculum by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.

The Deshbhakti Curriculum Framework draws three primary goals - Knowledge, Values, and Behaviour.

Sisodia while talking said, "The government seeks to combine patriotism with the guidance of teaching and learning in Delhi Government Schools.

Upon receiving the curriculum, Kejriwal said, "When we started working on this Curriculum 2 years ago, we did not know how it would be. It is a dynamic and constantly evolving process."

"While we keep our anecdotal experiences in mind we have to objectively assess if patriotic feelings are actually being instilled in the minds of children. Desh bhakti Curriculum will be launched in schools of Delhi to instill patriotism in young minds", Kejriwal added.
