Since Thursday, over 40 teams have been keeping a check on business units, burning of garbage, and construction sites and are giving away chalans to people who are disobeying the Supreme Court order.
This is a very difficult time for the national capital and the condition is likely to remain same at least till November 10.
Graded response action plan:
Graded Response Action Plan has been prepared for implementation under different Air Quality Index (AQI) categories namely, Moderate & Poor, Very Poor, and Severe as per National Air Quality Index. A new category of “Severe+ or Emergency” has been added.
Government deploys 40 groups:
The Delhi government yesterday had deployed 40 teams who were given the task of ensuring that all the rules as per Supreme Court pertaining to air pollution are being followed; in order to bring down and control the deteriorating air quality.
Cricketers wear masks during match:
The result of pollution could also be seen at Delhi stadium where a Ranji trophy match was taking place between Railways and Mumbai, as the players could be seen wearing masks during the match because of toxic air.
