The shelters are equipped with dry food, sufficient drinking water, and alternative lighting arrangements in case of power outages. Additionally, each panchayat area will have a disaster management team on standby, and every panchayat office will remain open at night. Tarkeshwar MLA Ramendu Singha Roy said local representatives have been instructed to remain alert and help the people.
