New Delhi: Active Covid-19 caseload in the country has dropped to 14,996 in the last 24 hours, which is a decrease of 48 cases. However, 2,323 new cases were reported during the same period said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in its bulletin released on Saturday, May 21. 


The cumulative number of recoveries in India is 4,25,94,801, which is 98.75 percent recovery rate.






The death toll climbed to 5,24,348 with 25 fresh fatalities, which is 1.22 per cent according to the MoHFW data released Saturday at 8 am. The new fatalities include 23 from Kerala and one each from Uttar Pradesh and Mizoram.


The number of tests conducted in the last 24 hours is 4,99,382, while the total number of tests conducted so far stands at 84.63 cr. As many as 192.12 crore coronavirus vaccinations have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.


The active case rate stands at 0.03 percent while the recovery rate currently is 98.75 percent. The daily and weekly positivity rates stand at 0.47 and 0.51 percent, respectively.
