Covid Restrictions: Gujarat Imposes Night Curfew In These Cities Till Feb 15 - Check, Details, Timings

Ahmedabad: In a decision aimed at preventing and completely eradicating the Covid-19 pandemic, the Gujarat Government on Saturday announced night curfew between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. in the four cities of Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot till February 15.
Gujarat Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Pankaj Kumar, who made the announcement in this regard said the recovery rate stands at 96.94 percent.
He, however, added there is a “need to remain cautious, vigilant and adhere to the prescribed containment strategy to prevent and completely eradicate the Covid-19 transmission”.

Chief Minister Vijay Rupani-led government also increased the limit on the number of guests allowed during a wedding ceremony to 200.
As per the new order, restrictions have also been imposed on visitors at a banquet hall or community hall as only up to 50 percent of the seating capacity can be used.
The Additional Chief Secretary (Home) further said, “Strict adherence to the SOPs will be ensured with respect to large gatherings, weddings, places of worship, malls, restaurants, hotels, cinema halls, swimming pools, gymnasiums, exhibitions, schools, colleges.”

The state administration will also keep a close eye on movement of passengers by train and air travel besides metro train.
Earlier in December last, the state imposed night curfews in the four cities of Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot following an increase in the number of coronavirus cases.
According to reports, Gujarat has a total of 2,60,901 confirmed coronavirus cases while 3,589 active cases.
