New Delhi: After witnessing an uptick in the number of Covid-19 cases for the last few days, India recorded a dip in the fresh cases on Sunday. As per the data shared by the Union Health Ministry 11,739 new cases of coronavirus were reported in the country in the last 24 hours pushing India’s case tally to 4,33,89,973. Country’s active caseload stands at 92,576 with daily positivity rate at 2.59 percent and weekly positivity rate at 3.25 percent. 


During the same time period, 25 people succumbed to the infection taking the cumulative death toll 5,24,999 as per the Union Health Ministry data. 






Total number of people who recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours were 10,917 cumulating total recoveries to 4,27,72398. Recovery rate in the country currently stood at 98.58 percent. 


Of the total 86.07 crore samples that have been tested so far in the country since the Covid-19 outbreak, tests for 4,53,940 samples were conducted in the last 24 hours. 


On Saturday, 15,940 cases of Covid-19 were reported in the country as per the Union Health Ministry with 20 deaths and 12,425 recoveries. A day before on Friday, 17,336 infections were logged in the country.
