Srinagar: The Covid 19 death toll has crossed the 150-mark in Jammu and Kashmir with two more fatalities on Thursday.  Two patients from the Kashmir Valley died in the morning today in separate hospitals taking the toll of fatalities to a total of 151.According to the officials at the hospitals dedicated to Covid 19 patients the two patients were a 60-year-old woman from Pattan Baramulla and an 80-year-old woman from Natipora Srinagar.

Dr. Saleem Tak, Medical Superintendent at CD hospital said that the patient from Masooma Pattan, was admitted to the hospital on June 29 after testing positive for the virus. The elderly woman was also suffering from hypertension, hypothyroidism, and bilateral pneumonia. After her struggle with the disease, she died in the morning on Thursday.

Dr. Nazir Ahmad Choudhary, Medical Superintendent at SMHS hospital said that the 80-year-old lady from Natipora who also died in the morning today was admitted on July 1. She too had co-morbidities and was suffering from hypertension, Type 2 diabetes, and bilateral pneumonia.

With new fatalities, the death toll due to the virus has reached 151, including 14 from the Jammu division and 137 from the Kashmir division. According to the data by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Jammu and Kashmir have recorded a total of 9261 cases with 3545 active cases.
