Background

Coronavirus HIGHLIGHTS, Tuesday July 13: India’s COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage crossed landmark milestone of 38 Crore. More than 37.03 lakh Vaccine Doses were administered till Monday evening. While at the time when authorities have ramped up vaccination drive across nation and gradually relaxed Covid norms, IMA President Dr JA Jayalal has appealed the Centre to reconsider its decision of relaxing restrictions. he has suggested the government of India not to allow any kind of festival celebrations in wake of probable third wave of Coronavirus.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia informed that several government-run vaccination centres in Delhi will be closed on Tuesday because the city has exhausted its Covishield COVID-19 vaccine stock. While sharing a report on the shortage of vaccines, Sisodia in a Twitter post said, "Vaccines have run out in Delhi again. The central government gives vaccines for a day or two, then we have to keep the vaccine centres closed for several days. Why is our country's vaccine programme faltering even after so many days?"
