India’s recovery rate remains high and surpasses that of the number of active cases. Data shows that the total number of people recovered is 2,04,710. The government had earlier announced that the recovery rate in India has become more than 50 percent. On Thursday the government announced that the recovery rate has further improved to 52.95 percent and said that the recoveries/deaths ratio stands at 94.07:5.93 percent.
Maharashtra is still leading with a total of 1,20,504 cases out of which 53915 are active cases. There has been a total of 5751 fatalities.
Cases have also been on the rise in Tamil Nadu which stands in the second position with a total of 52,334 cases and 23068 active cases and 625 fatalities. Delhi at the third place is inching closer to the 50K mark and at present has a total of 49979. There are 26,669 active cases and 1,969 deaths in the capital city.

Gujarat remained the fourth worst affected state in the country with a total of 25,601 and 6191 active cases. the state has recorded 1591 deaths so far.
Other states with more than 10,000 cases include Uttar Pradesh (15,181), Rajasthan (13,857), Madhya Pradesh (11,426) and West Bengal (12,735).
Globally, India is still the fourth-worst affected country in the world and stands after Russia with 5,60,321 total cases.
