India Continues To Record Less Than 30K Covid Cases, 27,176 Infections Registered In Last 24 Hrs

Corona Cases Update: India has been recording less than 30,000 Coronavirus cases for the past 4 days. India on Wednesday clocked 27,176 new Coronavirus cases, according to the Union Health Ministery. India's active caseload now stands at 3,51,087
The recovery rate is currently at 97.62%
India witnessed 38,012 recoveries in the last 24 hours which has amounted to the total recoveries to 3,25,22,171.
Kerala
After reporting more than or close to 30,000 COVID-19 cases daily during the first week of September, Kerala has been logging comparatively lesser fresh infections since then with the state reporting 15,876 cases on Tuesday, which took the total caseload to 44,06,365.
The number of active cases in the state dropped below two lakh -- 1,98,865 to be exact -- with 25,654 people recovering from COVID-19 since Monday and the total recoveries rose to 41,84,158, a state government release said.
The state also reported 129 deaths in the last 24 hours, which took the total fatalities to 22,779, the release said.
The Test Positivity Rate (TPR) stood at 15.12 per cent after testing 1,05,005 samples in the last 24 hours, the bulletin said.
Among the 14 districts, Thrissur recorded the highest with 1,936 fresh cases followed by Ernakulam (1,893), Thiruvananthapuram (1,627), Palakkad (1,591), Malappuram (1,523), Kollam (1,373), Alappuzha (1,118), Kozhikode (1,117), Kannur (1,099) and Kottayam (1,043), the release said.
Maharashtra
Maharashtra on Tuesday reported 3,530 new coronavirus cases and 52 fresh deaths, taking the infection tally to 65,04,147 and the toll to 1,38,221, a health department official said, reports PTI.
The number of daily cases and fatalities witnessed a rise as compared to Monday, when the state had reported 2,740 COVID-19 cases and 27 fatalities.
The official said 3,685 patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, pushing the cumulative recoveries to 63,12,706 and leaving Maharashtra with 49,671 active cases.
The state has 2,96,176 people in-home quarantine and another 1,875 in institutional quarantines.
