Congress MLA Sanjay Yadav's minor son Vaibhav, alias Vibhu, shot himself on Thursday. He was admitted to a hospital where he died during treatment. Sanjay Yadav is an MLA from Bargi in Madhya Pradesh.
The police said that they have recovered a "suicide note and a pistol from the spot", ANI reported.
"Congress MLA Sanjay Yadav's son shot himself at their home in Jabalpur and was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. We've recovered a suicide note and a pistol from the spot," said Jabalpur SP Siddharth Bahuguna to ANI.
16-year-old Vibhu was shot in the head and family members immediately took him to a nearby private hospital. Doctors had told that the condition of Vibhu Yadav was very serious.
When he was admitted to the hospital, his condition was critical. Police sources say that there was a sound of firing at the residence of Congress MLA Sanjay Yadav of Bargi assembly constituency located in Hathi Tal Colony in the afternoon.
Madhya Pradesh's former chief minister expressed his condolences on the matter:
As soon as the news of the incident came, all the Congress leaders of the city gathered in the hospital. The police is currently investigating the whole matter as suspicious. Police are refusing to say more about the incident.
