Bhopal: Congress is once again targetting BJP MP Pragya Thakur over getting vaccinated at home this week. In a video, The Bhopal MP was seen receiving the jab.


This comes after purported videos showed her playing basketball and dancing at a wedding.

Questioning Pragya Thakur Congress spokesperson Narendra Saluja wrote on Twitter: "Our Bhopal MP Pragya Thakur, who just a few days ago was playing basketball and dancing on the beat of the dhol, called a team at her residence today and got the vaccine. From Modi ji to Shivraj ji, all the BJP leaders went to the hospital and got their vaccination, why and on what basis did our MP get this exemption?".



Previously, a purported video of the Bhopal BJP MP, who usually moves in a wheelchair citing health issues, went viral on social media wherein she was seen walking and dribbling a ball before netting it in a basketball hoop.   


The Madhya Pradesh Congress responded to it by stating that it was delighted to see Pragya Thakur trying her hand at basketball as it was so far under the impression that she could not even stand or walk.


At that time, Congress spokesperson Narendra Saluja wrote: “I have seen MP Sadhvi Thakur wheelchair-bound so far. But today, I am delighted to see her hands at basketball at the stadium…. May God keep her healthy always”.



Thakur’s elder sister Upama Singh had described the incident as a “small thing”.  “Many of you might not know that she has done a certificate course in physical education and bachelor of physical education. She was fit and fine before her going to jail, where she was tortured and tormented,” her sister told PTI. 


Pragya Singh Thakur is an accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case and had filed an application in court seeking permanent exemption from personal appearance on medical and other grounds.
