Gulmarg continued to be the coldest place in the valley with a minimum temperature of minus 10.6 degrees Celsius.
The night temperature at Pahalgam resort, which also serves as one of the base camps for the annual Amarnath yatra in south Kashmir, settled at a low of minus 9.6 degrees Celsius as against minus 9.0 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.
Qazigund, the gateway town to the valley, in south Kashmir, recorded a low of minus 6.2 degrees Celsius, down from Wednesday's minus 2.5 degrees Celsius.
Kokernag town, also in the south, recorded a low of minus 7.8 degrees Celsius, while Kupwara, in the north, registered a minimum of minus 5.8 degrees Celsius.
Leh town, in the Ladakh Union territory, recorded a low of minus 18.3 degrees Celsius compared to the previous night's minus 14.8 degrees while Kargil recorded a low of minus 18.5 degree Celsius.
The nearby Drass town froze at a low of minus 28.3 degrees Celsius.
Jammu city recorded 2.8 degrees Celsius, Katra 3.7, Batote 0.3, Banihal 1.4, and Bhaderwah minus 4.4 as the night’s lowest temperatures.
