The Ambassador also shared photos of him garlanding a statue of Mahatma Gandhi and signing the visitor's book at the Sabarmati Ashram.
The ashram, also known as Gandhi Ashram, is the place where Mahatma Gandhi lived and worked from 1917 to 1930. The place, in the Sabarmati suburb of Ahmedabad, became the headquarters from where Gandhi spearheaded the freedom struggle.
In a separate post, Xu Feihong also shared the photographs of Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad saying that Chinese President Xi Jinping and PM Narendra Modi walked along the riverfront ten years ago.
