Chhattisgarh: Ministers guffaw during tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee
Vajpayee, 93, died at the AIIMS hospital in Delhi due to prolonged illness on August 16.
Raipur: In a seeming affront, two Ministers in Chattisgarh government were openly laughing and patting the table when a tribute was being paid to the memory of former India PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Heath Minister Ajay Chandrakar and Agriculture Minister Brijmohan Agarwal broke into a hearty laugh at the condolence meet of one of India’s most revered politicians on Wednesday. Agarwal is the senior most ministers in the Raman Singh government.
Not just the two ministers, so was Champa Devi Pawle, a BJP MLA, seen giggling while getting a photograph clicked holding the urn containing ashes.
Meanwhile, the urns were handed over to BJP presidents of 27 districts after the condolence meeting was held.
These urns were kept at district BJP offices where all-party prayer meetings were held before being finally immersed in various rivers today.
