Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) advised the public and media to not believe any rumors regarding updates on CBSE and to check the official website and social media handles. The board recently noticed fake news regarding CBSE board exams, evaluation, pass criteria through various social media groups.
The official notification reads "It is brought to the notice of all that there are some unscrupulous elements circulating fake news in form of lookalike circulars about CBSE board exams, evaluation, pass criteria through various social media groups with the sole purpose of misleading innocent students and parents."
The Board has also warned miscreants or agencies who are trying to spread fake news that it is mulling the idea of taking legal action again fake news under IT Act.
Along with warning miscreants who are involved in creation and circulation of fake news about CBSE Board Exam 2020, the board has also urged students and parents, not to believe in such misinformation and instead only refer official sources to get details about the upcoming board examination.
In addition to the students and parents, the board also advised media organizations to only refer to official communication channels of the board and not to rely on rumours to report developments about CBSE Board Exam 2020.
