New Delhi: Several former chief ministers besides former Congress Madhya Pradesh heavyweight Jyotiraditya Scindia, who is now with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader Pashupati Nath Paras were on Wednesday sworn-in as ministers in Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Cabinet.
President Ram Nath Kovind administered the oath of office and secrecy to 43 members of the Council of Ministers at a ceremony held at the Rashtrapati Bhavan this evening.
A total of 15 leaders, including Jyotiraditya Scindia, Pashupati Nath Paras, Kiren Rijiju, and Hardeep Singh Puri, took oath as the Cabinet Ministers, while 28 others, including Meenakshi Lekhi, Pankaj Choudhary, Anupriya Patel, and Shobha Karandlaje, were inducted as Ministers of State.
