New Delhi: A multi-storey structure collapsed in Mumbai's suburban Bandra on Wednesday. Seven injured people were rescued from the collapsed building and taken to hospitals.


The ground plus four-storey structure caved in at around 3.50 pm in the Behram Nagar of the western suburb, news agency PTI reported a civic official as saying.



It was further informed that the fire brigade and police personnel immediately rushed to the spot, where a rescue operation has been launched.


Half a dozen ambulances, five fire engines, and one rescue van are at the site, the official said, as reported by PTI.


Early on, at least five persons were feared trapped in the debris.






Later, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) informed that seven injured people were rescued from the collapsed building in Bandra and rushed to two hospitals. Their condition is stable, the civic body stated, as reported by news agency ANI.
