Breaking News HIGHLIGHTS, October 10, 2021: Hello and welcome to ABP News LIVE Breaking News Blog! Today, we will keep track of all the major news from the day. The main news on Sunday is of Ashish Mishra's arrest by the Uttar Pradesh police. 

Union Minister Ajay Kumar Mishra’s son Ashish Mishra was arrested on Saturday after over 11 hours of questioning in connection with the Lakhimpur Kheri violence incident. The nine-member SIT headed by Saharanpur Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Upendra Agarwal arrested the Union Minister’s son after quizzing him for more than 11 hours.

Mishra will be produced before the court today as informed by senior officials. 

The Samyukt Kisan Morcha said the farm unions will block train movement on October 18 and hold a mahapanchayat in Lucknow on October 28.

Apart from that, we shall keep track of the Denmark Prime Minister's visit t India. She will be present in Agra today and will be visiting Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort on Sunday. 

There's another crisis situation boiling in the national capital. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday raised an alarm that the national capital could face “a power crisis” due to the “coal shortage situation”. 

The Delhi Chief Minister listed the coal stock for the various stations adding that under the current situation, “the dependency on Gas Stations supplying power to Delhi increases” which “do not have adequate APM gas to run at full capacity”.

NIA searches with 7 locations in J&K with assistance of CRPF, Police

Today NIA conducted searches with the assistance of CRPF and J&K Police at 7 locations in Kulgam, Srinagar & Baramulla districts of J&K in a case relating to recovery of an IED from a Lashker-e-Taiba terrorist in Bathindi Jammu on 27.06.2021 for indulging in terrorist acts in J&K

"Investigation revealed that Pakistan-based handlers of LeT & their associates based in J&K had conspired to cause extensive terror activities for harming the general public. They had planned that responsibility for the terrorist acts would be taken by pseudo-acronym TRF": NIA stated.

During the course of searches conducted today 2 TRF operatives namely Tawseef Ahmed Wani r/o village Bangdara, District Baramulla and Faiz Ahmed Khan r/o village Panzat, Wampora, District Anantnag have been arrested for their involvement in the conspiracy, it added.

13th round of Corps Commander-level talks between India and China concluded around 7 pm today

The 13th round of Corps Commander-level talks between India and China in Moldo lasted for around 8.30 hours and concluded around 7 pm today. The talk aimed at discussing and resolving the military standoff in the Eastern Ladakh sector: ANI quoted Army Sources as informing.
