Breaking News HIGHLIGHTS: The BJP's national executive meeting will begin in Hyderabad on Saturday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be arriving in the Telangana capital on Saturday to attend the two-day meeting. BJP national president JP Nadda arrived in the city on Friday and held a roadshow. Posters showcasing the achievements of the central government have come up across the city.
Modi will address the meeting to be attended by 360 national executive members, including central ministers, chief ministers of various states and other key leaders.
A huge public meeting will be addressed by PM Modi on July 3, soon after the executive meeting ends. BJP workers from over 35,000 booths across the state will attend Modi's public meeting besides lakhs of people, said BJP general secretary Tarun Chugh.
This will be PM Modi's third visit to Hyderabad in five months. His previous visit to the city was May 26 to participate in the annual day celebrations of the Indian School of Business (ISB).
Meanwhile, as rains continued to lashed Mumbai, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also issued a yellow alert, predicting heavy showers at a few places in the city on July 1 and 2. The IMD Mumbai has forecast moderate to heavy rains with the possibility of "occasional intense spells" at isolated places in the city, PTI reported.
