We bring you the latest breaking news and updates from the day. Today, Prime Minister Modi will be in Gorakhpur to dedicate national development projects worth over Rs 9,600 crore on December 7, said a press release by PMO. Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation the Gorakhpur Fertilizer Plant. Lying shut for more than 30 years, it has been revived and built at a cost of around Rs 8600 crore. The driving force behind the revival of the Fertilizer Plant is the vision of the Prime Minister to achieve self-sufficiency in the production of urea, added the press release.India signed 28 deals with Russia on Monday. During a special briefing following the summit meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin, Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla said there was an “excellent discussion” between the two leaders, news agency ANI reported. He stated that President Putin’s visit was short but “nonetheless highly productive and highly substantive”. We are also keeping track on the Omicron cases in the country. The number of cases have jumped to 23 after two more positive cases were found in Mumbai.A 37-year-old man who returned from South Africa and his 36-year-old female friend who returned from the United States on November 25 have been detected with the Omicron variant. The Maharashtra government said the patients had taken Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine. Five high-risk and 315 low-risk contacts of the patients have been traced so far, ANI reported.Apart from that, we are also keeping track of the political developments in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and other poll-bound states.

CM Yogi At Gorakhpur Inauguration

"This inauguration program today is like a dream come true for the people in East UP which was impossible for the opposition. 5 governments came and went in UP in the last 30 years. Only the BJP govt had the courage to start this fertilizer factory in Gorakhpur," said Yogi Adityanath.
