West Bengal: BJP will launch extensive campaigns across 8 wards of the Bhabanipur constituency tomorrow on the last day of campaigning, ahead of the by-elections in the state on September 30. 80 BJP leaders to campaign across 80 locations of the Bhabanipur constituency.


West Bengal LoP Suvendu Adhikari, State BJP chief Sukanta Majumdar, party national vice-president Dilip Ghosh, Debasree Chaudhari, Arjun Singh and Swapan Dasgupta are among the leaders who will participate in the party's campaigns in Bhabanipur constituency tomorrow.

Centre Approves Capital Projects Worth Over Rs 2,900 Cr In Eight States

The Centre has approved capital projects worth Rs 2,903.80 crore in eight states. According to the Ministry of Finance, the projects have been approved under a scheme titled 'Special Assistance to States for Capital Expenditure for 2021-22'. Besides, the ministry has released an amount of Rs 1,393.83 crore to these states, namely Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Sikkim and Telangana.

The programme will be broadcast on the entire network of AIR and Doordarshan and also on AIR News and mobile app. The radio programme comes after his recently-concluded visit to the United States where he addressed the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). 


Addressing the 76th session of United Nations General Assembly on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi it is absolutely essential to ensure that Afghanistan’s territory is not used to spread terrorism and for terrorist activities. Firing an indirect salvo at Pakistan, the Prime Minister said, "We also need to ensure that no country tries to take advantage of delicate situation in Afghanistan and use it for its own selfish interests."


He further extended an invitation to vaccine manufacturers around the world to make vaccines in India. Prime Minister Modi said India has resumed the process of providing vaccines to those who need it in the world. Prime Minister Modi also threw light on Zydus Cadila’s three-dose Covid-19 DNA vaccine that was cleared by the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) last month.
