Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Monday spoke up about the recent arrest of Allu Arjun in the stampede case.
Pawan Kalyan said that the makers of Allu Arjun starrer 'Pushpa 2' should have reached out to the family of the woman, who died in a recent stampede at a theatre in Hyderabad, sooner.
The Deputy CM said that the matter "could have been resolved easily" but instead a "huge disaster happened".

"What they (movie makers) could have done is gone to the victim’s home the very next day. The producers, director, or anyone from the team should have expressed their condolences and shown they are with the family in their grief. Had they done this, it wouldn’t have escalated like this," Kalyan said.
“The law is equal for everyone,” Kalyan added speaking on the arrest. Following the stampede, Arjun was briefly arrested by Hyderabad police, leading to a major controversy.
Kalyan said that the death of the 35-year-old woman and the hospitalisation of her son was a "very painful episode".
"The deceased woman and her family wanted to have a nice evening, return home, and share the experience, but it ended tragically," he added.
Kalyan was reacting to the tragic stampede at the December 4 premiere show of Allu Arjun’s 'Pushpa 2', where a 35-year-old woman died, while her eight-year-old son was seriously injured. The stampede occurred when people tried to get a glimpse of the actor leading to the tragic incident.
Allu Arjun was arrested in connection with the death of the woman during the promotional event. The Telugu star is currently out on interim bail. The movie has emerged as the biggest hit of the year by earning over Rs 1,700 crore at the box office.
