Three Pakistani soldiers and three terrorists were killed during a military operation in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military said in a statement, as reported by the news agency IANS. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistani military, said on Tuesday that the terrorists opened fire on a police checkpost in the Khutti area of Dera Ismail Khan district of the province.
The ISPR said that security forces immediately cordoned off the area, blocking all possible escape routes, adding that the fleeing terrorists were intercepted later and killed after an exchange of fire, Xinhua news agency reported.
It said that three army personnel also lost their lives in the exchange of fire. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed terrorists, the ISPR added.

PM Modi To Inaugurate ITU Area Office, Innovation Centre
The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, is scheduled to inaugurate the new International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Area office and Innovation Centre at an event in Vigyan Bhawan on March 22, 2023 at 12:30 PM, according to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). During the event, the Prime Minister will unveil the Bharat 6G Vision Document and launch the 6G R&D Test Bed. Additionally, he will launch the 'Call before u dig' App and address the attendees.
The ITU is the United Nations specialized agency for information and communication technologies (ICTs) and has field offices, regional offices, and area offices worldwide, with its headquarters in Geneva. India signed a Host Country Agreement with ITU in March 2022 for the establishment of an Area Office.

A court in Surat, Gujarat, is likely to pronounce its verdict in the defamation case involving Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for his alleged "Modi surname" remark made during a rally in Kolar, Karnataka, in 2019. BJP MLA and former Gujarat minister Purnesh Modi filed the case, claiming that the comment defamed the entire Modi community. The court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, H H Varma, concluded hearing final arguments on Friday, with the judgment to be passed on March 23. Rahul Gandhi has appeared in court three times, last pleading not guilty in October 2021.
