Pune court has sent Kalicharan Maharaj aka Abhijit Dhananjay Sarag to one-day police custody in Pune hate speech case. He was earlier arrested in a case at Raipur where he allegedly made derogatory statements against Mahatma Gandhi. He was recently released on bail.

According to ABP News sources, PM Modi's Ferozepur rally in Punjab has been cancelled. Prime Minister Modi is now heading back towards Delhi. Sources revealed that the due to heavy rainfall in Punjab it was not possible to conduct a rally in the city.
The minimum temperatures on Wednesday hovered above normal limits in Punjab and Haryana .
Rains lashed parts of Punjab including Union Territory Chandigarh.
Among other places in Punjab, rains lashed Ferozepur, Bathinda, Mohali, Pathankot and Jalandhar.
Amritsar recorded a low of 11 degrees Celsius while Ludhiana's minimum settled at 11.9 degrees and Patiala recorded a low of 11.8 degrees while Ferozepur registered a low of 12.2 deg C, according to the Meteorological Department's weather report here.
Faridkot (11.8 degrees), Gurdaspur (12.3 deg C), Bathinda (14 deg C), Jalandhar (11.3 deg C) and Sangrur (11.1 deg C) also recorded above normal minimum temperatures.
Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, recorded above normal low of 12.3 degrees Celsius.
In Haryana, Ambala recorded a low of 12.7 degrees while Hisar's minimum settled at 10.9 degrees Celsius.
Karnal recorded a low of 11.5 degrees, Rohtak registered a low of 11.8 degrees, Gurugram's minimum settled at 11 degrees, Sirsa registered a low of 12 degrees while Kurukshetra's low settled at 12.6 degrees Celsius.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday arrived in Punjab to lay foundation stones for development projects at Ferozepur.
Modi landed in Bathinda and then headed for the district located along the Indo-Pak border.
"He has arrived in Punjab and is on his way to Ferozepur," Inspector General of Police (Bathinda Range) Jaskaran Singh told PTI over phone.
Hours before his Punjab visit, the prime minister in a tweet on Wednesday said that he was looking forward to "being among my sisters and brothers of Punjab today".
"At a programme in Ferozepur, foundation stones for development works worth Rs 42,750 crore will be laid, which will improve the quality of life for the people," Modi said in a tweet.

All staff members including the in-charge of a police outpost in the Old Bust Stand area here have been transferred to police lines after it was found that they felicitated running of buses illegally, a senior police official said on Tuesday.
Senior Superintendent of Police Pawan Kumar said he conducted a raid in the area after receiving a complaint of buses being operated illegally in connivance of the outpost staff that comes under the jurisdiction of the Shani Gate police station.
According to Kumar, a bus that was illegally plying from Ghaziabad to other cities was impounded and the staff members at the police outpost were shunted to the police lines.
"These who have been shunted out are outpost in-charge Inspector Pummy Chowdhary, Head Constables Ram Prakash, Kaushalendra Kumar, Dheeraj Kumar and Anand, and constables Naveen, Adesh and Bunty Kumar," the SSP said.

Breaking News LIVE, January 5, 2022: An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in the Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, police said.
Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Chandgam village which turned into an encounter, a police official said.
No casualties have been reported in the operation so far, he said.
With a few weeks ahead of the assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Ferozepur in Punjab today and lay the foundation stones of development projects worth over Rs 42,750 crore, including the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra expressway and a PGI satellite centre, in the city.
The projects also include four-laning of the Amritsar Una section, Mukerian-Talwara broad gauge railway line and two new medical colleges at Kapurthala and Hoshiarpur, the PMO said on Monday.
Modi's visit assumes significance as the state is headed for assembly polls, and the BJP has joined hands with former chief minister Amarinder Singh and the Akali faction headed by Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa to take on rival parties.
This will be Modi's first visit to Punjab after his government repealed the three farm reform laws, which had sparked more intense protest in the state than any other place. After the repeal, the BJP has been making concerted efforts to woo the Sikhs, who spearheaded the agitation
Ahead of Modi's visit, the PMO said his consistent endeavour to improve connectivity across the country has led to multiple national highway development projects being taken up in Punjab.
It has resulted in more than doubling the total length of national highways in the state from about 1,700 kilometre in 2014 to more than 4,100 kilometres in 2021. In continuation of such efforts the foundation stone of two major road corridors will be laid in Punjab, it said.
