Bone-chilling: DD Journalist narrates ordeal from ground zero during Naxal attack in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh

New Delhi: A day after two policemen and a cameraperson of Doordarshan were killed and two others got injured in a Naxal attack in poll-bound Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada district, a fresh video of a video journalist who was stuck during the attacks has emerged. The video was recorded by the journalist Mor Mukut Sharma himself by his phone and shared with his family, thinking that he wouldn’t survive the attack; but luckily he escaped with minor injuries.
In the video, he can be seen sharing his heart-wrenching ordeal. He could also be heard telling his wife that he loves her a lot and he may not survive. The sound of firing could be heard in the background.
Speaking to ABP News, the journalist Mukut Sharma said that “I had thought I wouldn’t survive, but luckily the forces came quickly and rescued us”.

While naxals have given a boycott call for the elections, voting is scheduled in the area for November 12 in the first phase of the state assembly polls.
The incident took place at around 11 am when a squad of local police was carrying out patrolling on motor cycles from Sameli camp towards Nilawaya on Tuesday morning, Deputy Inspector General (anti-naxal operations) Sundarraj P told media.
