New Delhi: Bharatiya Janta Party leader Sambit Patra on Saturday took on Congress’ Gandhi family over the alleged corruption charges against them in National Herald case.Speaking at a press conference which was held right in front of the disputed National Herald building located in Bhopal, Patra said “This press conference is being held at a distinguished location. The importance of this place is, that the building (City Centre) behind us was allotted to Associated Journals Limited (AJL), and was mandated for printing National Herald”.
Patra while addressing the conference levied serious charges on Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi and called National Herald building a building of corruption.
He said “AJL took a loan worth Rs 90 crores from Congress”. He further said “AJL had property worth Rs 5000 crore, which was purchased by Rahul Gandhi for Rs 50 lakh.”
He further said that “Eviction orders were given thrice; the case is going in the court. Police are also going to submit a report. Rahul Gandhi will have to give an answer for every penny”.
