According to the judge's family's police complaint, three anonymous individuals arrived to the residence asking for Pandey, claiming to have been directed to meet him by someone named Bhupendra Tiwary. When they learned that the magistrate was in the court, they asked for a glass of water from the family. Once inside, the guys drew their weapons and attacked the wife.

According to Pandey's wife, they plundered the family of cash and jewellery. She said that the burglars also stole her phone and the jewellery she was wearing.

The Bihar Judicial Services Association was very concerned about the occurrence and the safety of judicial personnel.

Ashish Bharti, the superintendent of police (SP) for Rohtas, said he was keeping an eye on the probe.

“Police are investigating the case and the criminals will be arrested soon,” the SP was quoted by HT in its report.
