Bihar Assembly Elections 2020 ABP Opinion Poll Highlights : Nitish Kumar's NDA government seems headed for a fourth term in Bihar, with 141-161 seats this time. ABP News along with CVoter conducted an opinion poll to gauge the mood of the voters ahead of the crucial polls. The sample size of the survey was 25,789.

Nitish remains first choice for CM:

As per the survey, 31% of the respondents in Bihar have said that they want Nitish Kumar to be the Chief Minister of the state. Eight percent voted for Lalu Yadav as preferred CM candidate, while Tejashwi was preferred by 15% of the respondents.
Bihar opinion poll Grand Total : In the final leg of ABP News- CVoter survey, Nitish-led NDA is predicted to sweep the crucial assembly elections in Bihar, paving way for Nitish Kumar to be the CM for the fourth time.
Overall Projections
NDA is projected to amass 45 % of the total vote share, gaining huge as compared to the 2015 polls in which the alliance won 34.1 % of the votes, while the UPA is predicted to get only 33 per cent of the votes. Others are likely to get 22 % of the votes.



The ruling alliance NDA is likely to bag 141 to 161 seats of the 243 member strong assembly. While the UPA comprising of Congress and RJD is projected to get between 64-84 seats. Other parties may win 13-23 seats.

North Bihar:
Projected Seat Tally Positive signs for NDA again; ruling alliance is likely to win seats ranging between 47 to 51 in the region which has 73 assembly seats, UPA is projected to lose crucial seats here and is likely to be reduced to 17-21 range.

NDA is seen getting 47% of votes, while UPA projected to get 32% and others are likely to get 21% of votes.

In Magadh Bhojpur region, NDA’s predicted range of seats is 39-43 adding a good number to its previous tally of 19 seats in the region. Losing out on a major chunk, UPA is projected to get 20-24 seats in the region.

Vote share Putting up a strong performance n the region, the NDA is likely to grab 44% of vote share, while UPA is likely to get 34% of votes, others are projected to get 22% of the votes.

Mithilanchal


Projected Seats : In Mithilanchal, of the total 50 seats, NDA is projected to win seats ranging between 27-31, UPA is likely to lose out a huge chunk here too and may be limited to 16-20 range. Others may get 2 - 4 seats.
East Bihar region


Projected Seats : In East Bihar region, the NDA is likely to make massive inroads clinching 14 to 18 seats of the total 27 seats, while the UPA is likely be reduced to 7-11 range in the region which once used to be its stronghold.
In 2015, UPA put up a power packed performance in Seemanchal region, with 39.7% of votes and 17 of the 24 seats in the region. However, as per the survey, the UPA may fail to hold grounds this time as NDA looks set to make massive inroads.
Seemanchal :

Seat Range: : NDA is likely to win 14 to 18 seats of the total 24 seats in the region, limiting UPA to the range of 4 to 8 seats.

When to watch: 5 pm onwards on ABP News
In 2015 Bihar Assembly elections, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) emerged as the largest party by winning 80 seats while the ruling Janata Dal-United won 71 seats, the Congress 27. The BJP managed to win 53 seats, followed by two seats by the LJP and one seat by Jitan Ram Manjhi-led Hindustani Awam Morcha-Secular, others won 10 seats in the state. The BJP despite winning only 53 seats got the maximum percentage of vote share with 24 per cent, followed by the RJD with 18 per cent and JD-U 17 per cent. The Congress managed to get seven per cent vote share and LJP got around 4.8 per cent vote share.
As the term of the Bihar Assembly comes to an end on November 29, and the process of electioneering is all set to take off with full force, ABP News along with C Voter conducted opinion poll to gauge the mood of common public in the state.

Bihar Assembly Elections 2020 ABP Opinion Poll Highlights: As the dates of the much awaited Bihar elections have been announced, the process of electioneering will now kick off with full swing in the state. ABP News along with CVoter conducted an opinion poll to gauge the mood of the voters ahead of the crucial polls.

The elections for the 243 Assembly seats in Bihar will take place in three phases between October 28 and November 7. The counting of votes will be on November 10, the Election Commission said on Friday.

Addressing a press conference here, Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora said, "The Bihar elections will be held in three phases. Elections for the first phase will take place on October 28 on 71 Assembly constituencies, elections for second phase on 94 seats will take place on November 3 and third phase poll on 78 Assembly seats on November 7."

He said that counting of votes will take place on November 10.
