Bihar elections 2020: Lalu Yadav’s youngest son and the Chief Ministerial candidate of the Mahagathbandhan, Tejashwi Yadav has turned 31 years old today.  Yadav’s birthday falls a day ahead of the results of the high-stake assembly election, which has established Tejashwi as a prominent player in the politics of Bihar.

The surveys conducted by the different news channels suggest a landslide victory for the Mahagathbandhan and some have even projected Tejashwi Yadav as the new Chief Minister of Bihar. As per the ABP News-C Voter Exit Poll Survey, no party seems to be getting a clear majority however the mandate looks inclined towards Tejashwi. The majority mark is 122.

Tejashwi will be the youngest CM of any Indian state if he wins:

If the poll of polls’ prediction turns validated and the Grand Alliance hops to victory, the Yadav scion will be the youngest ever chief minister of a state in India at the age of 31.

Yadav was born on November 9, 1989 and if he dethrones Nitish Kumar we will be the youngest CM the country will see, As per reports, M.O.H Farook, who became union territory Puducherry’s CM at the age of 29 has been  the youngest CM till now. However, if Yadav gets majority he will be the youngest CM of an Indian state.

Before this, Satish Prasad Singh, who became the CM in 1968 at the age of 32 was Bihar’s youngest ever Chief Minister.



The third and last phase of voting concluded on Saturday at 6 p.m. The first phase of voting took place on October 28 and the second phase on November 3. Counting of votes for the 243-member House will take place on November 10.

The Bihar election is being seen as a referendum on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, whose JD-U is in alliance with the BJP-led NDA. Nitish Kumar has governed Bihar three times in a row since 2005.
