The Bengal CM, during her visit to the North 24 Parganas district, also visited a primary school and interacted with the children there.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was seen steering a boat while on her way to visit the villages of North 24 Parganas. Banerjee was also seen distributing chocolates and soft toys to students at a primary school in North 24 Parganas district.

The Twitter handle of Trinamool Congress tweeted the video with the caption, "Hon’ble CM @MamataOfficial paid a unique visit to villages in North 24 Parganas on a boat. In a lively mood, she was seen steering the vessel herself. With the wheels of progress and prosperity in her able hands, Bengal strides ahead."
The Bengal CM, who is on a three-day visit to North 24 Parganas district, also handed over winter garments and sarees to the locals of Khapukur in Hasnabad.

Locals complained of drinking water woes to the CM. Banerjee immediately directed additional district magistrate (ADM) Preeti Goyal to facilitate the supply of drinking water to all homes in the area.

"I've heard about your water-related problems. We are working on it. By 2024, we will connect all households with tap water. I'll ask ADM Preeti Goyal, who will be in charge of Sundarbans, to work with Public Health Engineering department and start supplying water within seven days," she told the villagers of Khapukur, news agency PTI reported.

In another video posted by the All India Trinamool Congress, CM Mamata Banerjee can be seen trying her hand at weaving with the help of local artisans. "Local artisans were seen sharing their craft with their beloved CM @MamataOfficial. The GoWB has taken several initiatives to empower the local artisans and weavers in the state. Under the Bengal Model, our culture and our craft shall always be celebrated," the tweet read.

Mihir Adhikari, a local resident, said river bank erosion was another problem affecting the people of Hasnabad. "We are hopeful that the CM will listen to our problems and address them," he added, reported PTI.

During lunch, she stopped by the residence of a local woman, Namita Mondal. Banerjee was seen relishing rice with 'Tangra' and 'Rupchand' fish.

Panchayat elections are scheduled to be held in Bengal sometime next year.
