Ashok Venkatramani appointed as President of News Broadcasters Association
New Delhi: Ashok Venkatramani, CEO, ABP News Network, was on Thursday elected as the new President of News Broadcasters Association at its ninth annual general meeting.
Venkatramani earlier held the post of Vice President. He will replace Rajat Sharma, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, India TV.
The board also elected Ashish Bagga, group chief executive officer (CEO) of India Today Group as vice-president and M. K. Anand, managing director and chief executive officer at Times Network (Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd), as the honorary treasurer.
The other members on the NBA Board are:
- Rajat Sharma, Chairman & Editor-in-Chief (India TV) – Independent News Service Pvt. Ltd.
- K.V.L. Narayan Rao, Executive Vice Chairperson NDTV Group – New Delhi Television Ltd.
- Rahul Joshi, CEO News & Group Editor-in-Charge, TV18 Broadcast Ltd.
- Bhaskar Das, Group CEO - Zee Media Corporation Ltd.
- Anurradha Prasad, Chairperson-cum-Managing Director, News24 Broadcast India Ltd.
- M.V. Shreyams Kumar, Whole-time Director, Mathrubhumi Printing & Publishing Co. Ltd.
