Under the banner of ‘Save Bengal from the BJP’, the motive clearly is to retaliate against the saffron party ahead of the 2021 assembly polls.

The 600 rallies will cover all the 294 assembly seats and following it, there will be leaflet distribution, public meetings, and community radio campaigning to highlight TMC’s achievements in multiple languages. The languages for campaign material include Nepali, Santhali (in Ol Chiki script), Telugu, Bengali, English, Hindi, Rajbonshi, and more to woo voters across different sections.

As informed by TMC, each of the 294 assembly seats will have at least two rallies starting from November 22.

The party has decided to begin its ‘Save Bengal from the BJP' rallies in West Midnapore, Purulia, Jhargram and Bankura. These districts come under the Jangalmahal belt which is dominated by tribal groups and scheduled caste people. In Bengal, the SC population is nearly 23.51 percent and the ST population is 5.85 percent.
