CBI Summon A Conspiracy To Arrest Kejriwal, He Won't Bow Down, Says Sanjay Singh
The Aam Aadmi Party said on Friday that the Centre is corrupt from top to bottom and that a CBI summons will not deter Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal from fighting corruption.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said on Friday that the Centre (BJP-led government) is corrupt from head to toe and that a summons from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will not deter Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal from fighting corruption. On April 16, the CBI will question the Delhi chief minister about the now-withdrawn liquor policy case. The CBI summoned Kejriwal to its Delhi headquarters at 11 am, on Sunday.
In a press conference, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh claimed that the CBI summon was part of a plot to arrest CM Kejriwal.
"Arvind Kejriwal has been sent a CBI summon. I'd like to tell the PM - you and your Govt are covered in corruption from head to toe and Arvind Kejriwal's fight will not stop with this CBI summon. The conspiracy hatched by you to arrest, jail, and take action against Arvind Kejriwal on 16th April will not stifle his voice:" AAP MP Sanjay Singh.

According to the AAP leader, the day Kejriwal mentioned the corruption led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which benefits his close friend and his company (the Adani issue), he knew the next to be arrested is the Delhi CM.
"Delhi chief minister had spoken about the Adani issue in Delhi Vidhan Sabha. That same day, I told him that you will be next," Sanjay Singh said.
The CBI has already arrested AAP leader and former Delhi Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia in the case. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also arrested Sisodia in connection with an alleged excise scam.

The 2021-22 excise policy was scrapped in August of last year, and the Delhi L-G later asked the CBI to investigate alleged irregularities.
The CBI claims that the Delhi government's excise policy for 2021-22, which grants licences to liquor traders, favoured certain dealers who allegedly paid bribes for it, an allegation that the AAP strongly refutes. The policy was later abandoned.
