Kolkata: West Bengal Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) member Pamela Goswami who has been arrested for possession of 100 gm of cocaine has made allegations against other BJP leaders. Pamela Goswami  was produced before court today and she said that Police should arrest BJP Bengal Chief Kailash Vijayvargiya's close aide Rakesh Singh in the case. However, we couldn't verify why she was demanding the BJP leader's arrest. 


After Pamela accused Rakesh Singh, he spoke to ABP News refuting the claims.


Rakesh Singh said that he has no involvement with her or in the case and he will quit politics if he is found guilty. Rakesh Singh also said that it is a trap by TMC to defame BJP as he was not in contact with Pamela for past 2 years. He said that there are chances that she may falsely name other BJP leaders but we are all ready to face it if required as we are not involved in such activities. He also said that the police should do serious investigation bverify facts on the case as Pamela can name anybody now, even her father but it will not be true.

Arrested In Cocaine Case 


BJP Yuva Morcha leaders Pamela Goswami and Prabir De were arrested with 100 grams of cocaine from New Alipore in Kolkata, police informed on Friday. 


Besides them, a person named Somnath Chatterjee (aged 26) has also been arrested in connection with the seizure of about 90 grams of narcotic substance in Kolkata.


"Acting on a tip-off, New Alipore police station conducted an operation wherein they spotted a car in front of Parameswari Bhawan of 92/93 NR Avenue, Block-B, New Alipore. On searching, approximately 90 grams of narcotic material (suspected cocaine) worth approximately Rs 10 lakhs was found," the police stated.


A case has been registered under sections 21(b)/29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
