'Anyone Can Become Their Target': Slain Karni Sena President's Widow Calls For Rajasthan Bandh On Thursday
She said that if any action is not taken, the criminals who targeted her husband could target anyone within the community.
New Delhi: A day after Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena president Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was shot dead inside his house in Jaipur, his widow called for Rajasthan Bandh (city-wide shutdown) on Thursday.
Addressing the protesters in Jaipur, Sheila Shekhawat, Gogamedi's widow, urged the Rajputs from across the nation to take part in the bandh.
She said that if any action is not taken, the criminals who targeted her husband could target anyone within the community.
"Rajasthan bandh has to be observed tomorrow also. I call upon the Rajputs of the entire country to come here in maximum numbers because today Sukhdev Singh has become their (criminals') target, tomorrow any one of us can become their target," she said.

Gogmedi's last rites will be performed on Thursday morning and his widow requested the protestors to pay their last respects to her husband on Thursday morning.
"I request you all to come to pay last respects tomorrow morning. On December 10, a tribute meeting will be held at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan," she said while addressing the protestors in Jaipur.

On Tuesday, Right-wing group Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena's president Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was shot dead in the living room of his house by three men. One of the assailants was also gunned down by his accomplices.
Meanwhile, members of the Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena on Wednesday ended their protest over the Rajput leader's murder after a consensus was reached in which the Station House Officer of Jaipur's Shyam Nagar Police Station and beat constable were decided to be suspended, reported ANI.
A special investigation team was set up by the police to launch a probe into the killing of Gogamedi.
