IndiGo Number One


Domestic carrier IndiGo has been at the forefront of four major airports in the country in February in terms of on-time performance (OTP) which means timely operations. This information has been obtained from the data released by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).


According to the DGCA, the company's number of flights on time during this period was 95.4 per cent. At the same time, Go First came second with an OTP of 94.1 per cent.




Best Performance At These Airports


The DGCA, in its data related to the performance of the country's airlines, said IndiGo's performance was best in February at Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai airports.


According to the DGCA, Go First's OTP (on-time performance) was the best at these four airports with 94.5 per cent in January 2022. During this time, IndiGo was in second place with 93.9 per cent.


An IndiGo spokesperson said: "Despite the difficult situation, we are elated to have performed the best in terms of being most punctual. We have succeeded in bringing the OTP to 95.4 per cent in February 2022, up from 93.5 per cent based on the annual monthly average in 2021."


Other Airlines 


Apart from this, the OTP of Vistara, SpiceJet, Air India, AirAsia India and Alliance Air in February 2022 was 90.9 per cent, 90.9 per cent, 89.8 per cent, 88.5 per cent and 88.5 per cent respectively.
