Actor and Jana Sena Party leader Pawan Kalyan marked the 52rd anniversary of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) on Wednesday by expressing his admiration and support for the party. In a heartfelt message, Kalyan paid tribute to AIADMK founder M.G. Ramachandran (MGR), whom he described as a “revolutionary leader” whose visionary policies had a transformative impact on Tamil Nadu, especially for the underprivileged.
Kalyan highlighted MGR's dedication to improving the lives of the common people and emphasised how his leadership helped elevate Tamil Nadu into one of India's leading states. He also acknowledged the contribution of MGR's successor, Jayalalithaa, praising her as a remarkable leader whose work earned her the affectionate title of “Amma.”
In his message, Pawan Kalyan conveyed his best wishes to Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS), the current leader of AIADMK, and expressed hope that the party would continue to serve Tamil Nadu, fulfilling the dreams MGR had for the state's growth and prosperity. Kalyan also underscored the cultural bond between Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, noting Jayalalithaa’s respect and affection for the Telugu-speaking community.

“I have immense respect for Tamil Nadu, its rich culture, and the resilience of its people,” Kalyan stated, emphasizing his admiration for the state's legacy. He concluded his message with prayers for AIADMK’s continued success in serving the people of Tamil Nadu.
On the same day, AIADMK general secretary and Leader of Opposition (LoP) Edappadi K. Palaniswami paid floral tributes at the party headquarters in Royapettah, honoring life-size statues of party icons and former Tamil Nadu Chief Ministers M.G. Ramachandran and J. Jayalalithaa, as part of the anniversary celebrations.
O. Panneerselvam (OPS), an expelled AIADMK leader, responded to Kalyan’s message, thanking him for his warm wishes. "Shri Pawan Kalyan, Thank you very much for your good wishes on the occasion of the commencement of the 53rd Founding Day of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam," said OPS.
About OPS, Pawan Kalyan had said, "OPS as Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister, ably led the AIADMK government during and after the demise of Puratchi Thalaivi Selvi Jayalalithaa, sincerely following in her footsteps."
