West Bengal ABP CVoter Opinion Poll Results 2021: Days ahead of the much-crucial West Bengal Assembly Elections, ABP News along with C-Voter conducted yet another survey to gauge the mood of voters and to understand their sentiments. As per the survey, Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC) still appears to be leading in terms of vote share and seats followed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is giving a tough fight to the ruling dispensation. 


The ABP survey reveals that TMC is most likely to secure 43 per cent vote share, which will be 1.5 per cent negative swing compared to 2016 Assembly Poll results where Mamata Banerjee's party managed to secure 45 per cent votes.

Meanwhile, the survey also claims that BJP will manage to secure 38.4 per cent votes in 2021 Assembly elections which is gigantic leap compared to 2016 elections where the saffron party bagged mere 10 per cent of vote share.


However, BJP's impressive gain, as per the survey, is still little short to gain majority in the 294-member West Bengal assembly. 


On the other hand, Congress which is contesting the Bengal polls in alliance with Left parties appears to have failed in impressing voters and its vote share is expected to fall down to drastically mere 13 per cent, which is concerning 25 per cent negative swing compared to 2016 assembly polls.


In terms of seats, ruling TMC is expected to get somewhere between 150-166 seats in the 294-member assembly. During last Assembly Polls, Mamata Banerjee's party managed to get as many as 211 seats.

Meanwhile, the BJP looks to increase its presence in the state with survey indicating that the saffron party may get somewhere between 98-114 seats in the upcoming Assembly polls. In 2016, BJP managed to get only 3 seats in West Bengal.


The ABP survey also highlighted that the Congress+Left alliance is likely to get between 23 to 31 seats in the Assembly polls. In 2016 Assembly polls, the alliance managed to secure 76 seats in West Bengal.


The 294-member Bengal Assembly will go to polls in eight phases from March 27 to April 29. The results will be declared on May 2.
