Will Congress be able to form government again in the union territory or is BJP going to make another progress in its mission to gain a footing in South India?
ABP News in partnership with C-Voter conducted a snap poll to know what voters in Puducherry feel ahead of the election.
Vote Percentage
In the early projection, UPA (Congress + DMK) remains static in terms of vote percentage as it is expected to gain the same 39.5% votes. On the other hand, NDA (AINRC + BJP + AIADMK) is projected to witness a significant growth of 16.7% votes in the upcoming polls. The latter appears to be benefiting from the shift of vote percentage from the other parties in the fray.
Number Of Seats
In terms of the number of seats, UPA is losing 8 seats whereas NDA is projected to win 21 seats, winning 9 more in comparison to the 2016 results. These numbers reflect a possibility of the BJP alliance gaining a majority in the assembly and thereby forming a government in the union territory.
In terms of the range of seats, UPA is projected to receive 7 to 11 seats, NDA can have 19 to 23 seats; followed by others 0 to 1 seat.
