With a long-standing association with Robin-Hood Army (RHA), ABP Network (AN) has been on the forefront in making a positive societal impact. RHA, a volunteer-based, zero-funds organization, with a vision to ameliorate the sufferings of hunger & illiteracy in our country and uplifting the lives & spirits of the unfortunate, has been working closely with AN for various key drives.

By the dint of special initiatives like Senior Patrol – a movement which helped provide essentials to the most senior and susceptible members of society amid the COVID-19 crisis; The Mega-Christmas Food Drive of 2019; and the special Khaibar Pass Food Festival initiative, which involved distribution of extra food from the festival to the ones in need – RHA has emerged as a powerful agent of change in the Indian society.

With tremendous support from AN in populating these initiatives, the efforts of RHA have reached the masses, making these movement bigger & better!

Now, as we grapple with the numerous ramifications of the pandemic, various beleaguered communities are looking for support. The existing food crisis in our country has further exacerbated due to COVID-19, resulting in a food calamity. This situation has demanded an expeditious action from all fronts. While, the government has shown great enterprise to ease the distress of marginalised communities, AN-RHA have also once again stepped up to extend their support.

To fight against this crisis, AN-RHA have launched the #Mission30M initiative– an effort intended towards serving thirty million meals to the most affected people across rural and urban areas. Similarly, last year, RHA served 5 million people in need across 5 days. Considering the ripple effects of COVID-19 on our society, this need has only further escalated.

The #Mission30M initiative is the largest food relief effort by civic society, through which RHA will be bringing together corporates, media houses and volunteers across 10 countries. All volunteers involved will be following the government, health, and safety guidelines along with social distancing measures to ensure safe & responsible deliveries and there will be no monetary donation involved.

The mission will be executed in the following parts:

• Dates: 1st July-15th August 2020

• Rations: 60,000 Robins across 200 cities in India, Bahrain, Botswana, Malaysia, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Uganda, will adopt local neighbourhoods and 5 villages each, and serve rations to 30 million people by 15th August

• Technology: The tech platform created by the RHA team (robinhoodarmy.com/mission30M) & social media handles will share live feeds of real-time updates across geographies

ABP Network is helping RHA in by promoting the initiative on their news channels and inspiring more volunteers to join the cause.
