New Delhi: The COVID-19 pandemic has created massive devastation in terms of life and economy. According to a report, India ranks second after the United States in the list of the world’s most affected countries with 31,969,954 cases. Furthermore, this crisis has exacerbated hunger and poverty worldwide, pushing millions of people into the vicious cycle of worsening food insecurity. Keeping this in mind, ABP Network in collaboration with Robin Hood Army has pledged to work towards ameliorating two of our nation’s critical social issues – Hunger and Public Health.

This Independence Day, through their special campaign ‘#Mission28States’, ABP-RHA will be, therefore, working towards stomping hunger and accelerating India’s vaccination drive. Their campaign will be focused upon two social aspects and will be executed through the help of thousands of Robins across every state of India. The #Mission28States campaign will:
• Encourage and prompt 1.5 Lakh Indians to take COVID-19 vaccination
• Provide meals to at least 5 million people who are most affected by this pandemic

Since the advent of COVID-19, ABP Network has been pulling out all the stops to keep the nation informed while also supporting the communities in need through its people-first initiatives. This time, the media company is going to spread maximum national awareness to inoculate the maximum number of eligible beneficiaries in India.

In addition to supporting the world’s largest vaccination drive, thousands of Robins across every state of India will strive to serve at least 5 million meals to those most affected by this pandemic. The focus will be on lakhs of countrymen and women who have the least access - homeless families, the transgender community, rural inhabitants, etc.

Like every RHA initiative, there will be no money involved in this drive. The infrastructure will be powered by the largest technology partners of the country.

ABP Network will be, therefore, assisting Robin Hood Army in reaching out to wider audiences by promoting the initiative on their news channels & digital platforms and inspiring more volunteers to join the cause. The leadership at ABP Network believes that through close collaborations between the government, the media, and the active support of social partners like RHA, India can combat the third-wave of COVID-19.

Robin Hood Army had run a similar project with ABP Network in March 2021, whereby the #SeniorPatrol campaign enabled thousands of Robins to fast-track COVID-19 vaccination for millions of senior citizens in India.
