Massive vaccination drives are being carried out all over the country to counter COVID-19. So far, more than 519 million people have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Coming to the figures for the last five days, the pace of vaccination has reduced and then increased.

Talking about new COVID-19 cases were reported in the last five days, 38,628 cases were reported on August 6, 39,070 cases on August 7, 35,499 cases on August 8, 28,204 cases on August 9, and 38,353 cases were reported on August 10.
Over 519 million doses were administered in India
The first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine has been administered to 403.5 million people, while 115.4 million people in the nation have been fully vaccinated. In terms of percentage, 29.74 percent of Indians have been partially vaccinated, while 8.51 percent of Indians have been fully vaccinated. The total number of vaccine doses administered has exceeded 519 million. Under the nationwide vaccination drive, the vaccination of healthcare workers began on January 16, while the vaccination of frontline workers began on February 2. The next phase of vaccination began on March 1, in which people above 60 years of age and people above 45 years of age with serious illness were included.
Foreign nationals to get COVID-19 vaccine
The Government of India started administering vaccines to those above 45 years of age from April 1. Vaccination for all people above 18 years of age began on May 1 this year. The Central Government has recently taken a big decision to vaccinate foreign nationals living in India, in its attempt to improve vaccination figures. Foreign nationals can use their passport as ID to register on the COWIN portal. After successful registration, they will be allotted a slot for vaccination.
