ABP CVoter Survey: Inflation, Unemployment Biggest Issues In Poll Bound States — All You Need To Know
ABP CVoter survey revealed that 32.8 per cent people in the country (who participated in the survey) believe that rising prices of commodities is the biggest issue the country is facing right now.
ABP News CVoter Survey: With months left for crucial assembly elections in five poll-bound states Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Manipur, and Goa, ABP News along with CVoter conducted a survey to understand the inclination of voters by asking some questions which could hint who can come to power in these states.
ABP News Asked Voters Of Five states: What is the biggest issue country is facing at the moment?
According to the latest survey, the state of Uttar Pradesh which is witnessing back-to-back political rallies by the star campaigners of different parties trying to woo the voters, said that the biggest issue for them is rising prices of fuel and other commodities. According to the survey data, 34.3 percent of people who participated in the snap poll said that inflation is the biggest issue for them. 25.5 percent of people said that unemployment is the biggest issue the country is facing at the present time. While only 9.2 percent of people said that Corona is the biggest challenge the country is facing, the issue of corruption got the fourth spot with just 4.7 percent of people considering it to be the biggest issue.
Punjab recently got a new chief Minister after a massive tussle among the leaders in the ruling Congress Party, 26.7 percent of people said that unemployment in the state is the biggest issue for the country right now. However, 26.2 percent of people in the survey from the state also said that rising prices are a huge worry for them in the present time. In Punjab, issues related to the farmers got the third spot as 15.3 per cent of people believed it to be the biggest concern.
The ABP News CVoter survey also revealed that 39.5 percent of people in Uttarakhand, unemployment is the biggest challenge and will be a contributing factor in the upcoming polls. While 17.2 percent of people in Uttrakhand said that rising prices and economic crises is the biggest problem in the country, no one in the state said that issues related to farmers or agriculture are an issue.
According to the survey data, 33 per cent of people in Goa who participated in the survey considered rising prices of fuel and other items as the biggest issue in the country, 20.3 per cent said that Covid and other endemics is the biggest challenge for the country. 19.2 per cent of people said unemployment is the biggest concern. However, the problem of corruption got the fourth spot with 11.5 per cent people saying it is the biggest challenge right now.
In Manipur, 30.3 per cent of people said that economic crisis is the biggest issue the country is facing at the present time. For 28.6 per cent unemployment is the biggest concern and 12.6 per cent considered Covid as the biggest problem of the country.
ABP News then posed a question to voters: How satisfied are you with the performance of your Chief Minister?
According to the ABP CVoter survey, in Uttar Pradesh 47.4 per cent of people who took part in the survey said that they are 'very satisfied' with the performance of their chief minister Yogi Adityanath, while 33.5 per cent said that they are 'not satisfied at all'. In Punjab, 60.6 per cent of people showed their discontentment towards the performance of new chief Minister Charanjeet Singh Channi while just 14.6 per cent of people said that they are 'very satisfied' with Channi's performance. In Uttarakhand which witnessed a back-to-back change of Chief ministers, 35.3 per cent of people taking part in the survey said that they are 'not satisfied' by their CM's performance at all, while 33 per cent said that they are 'very satisfied' with their CM's performance.
In Manipur, 40.1 per cent showed their discontentment towards CM Nongthombam Biren Singh and said that they are 'not satisfied at all' with his performance, while 36.4 per cent people said that they are 'very satisfied' with his performance. In Goa, 52.3 per cent people supported their Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and said that they are 'satisfied to some extent' which 26.7 per cent of people clearly stated that they are 'not satisfied at all' with Sawant's performance.

The methodology used is CATI interviews of adult (18+) respondents with random numbers drawn from standard RDD and the sample size for the same is 107000+ across 5 states (UP, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur) & the survey was carried out during the period 9th October 2021 to 11th November 2021. The same is also expected to have a margin of error of ±3 to ±5% and may not necessarily have factored in all criteria.
