New Delhi: A heated argument was observed in both the houses of parliament after AAP MP Bhagwant Mann posted a video of Parliament’s internal security positions and details on social media.

Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan has now summoned Mann over his act. The MP has also been heavily slammed by the opposition. The BJP on the other hand has demanded breach of privilege motion against AAP MP.

Shirnomani Akali Dal leader and Lok Sabha MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal lashed out at Mann saying, “Who will be responsible if tomorrow that video is used by terrorist organisations for attacks? Can we take this so leniently?”

“The incident must be investigated properly, the intentions behind shooting the video must be known”, she added.

After this squabble, MP Mann seemed defiant and came forward to strongly defend his act on Thursday saying, “Is it illegal, inappropriate to post a video which shows procedure of how questions are taken up in Parliament during question hour. Did my video pose a security threat to Parliament? I will post a video again tomorrow; let me be served a notice’’.

Condemning Mann’s claims to do it again, BJP leader Nirmala Sitharaman in Rajya Sabha said, “Mann made a statement that he will do it again, therefore the Government will do what it has to do”.

After much criticism, Bhagwant Mann finally issued a clarification by saying, “My only intention was to tell the procedure (during the zero hour). I have done nothing to risk the security of the Parliament”.

On December 13, 2001 the Indian Parliament was attacked by the perpetrators of Lashker-e-Taiba (Let) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorists.  The attack led to the deaths of six Delhi Police personnel, two Parliament Security Service personnel and a gardener.
