Dadlani, in a tweet on Jain Muni Tarun Sagar who had renounced clothes for lifetime and delivered 'Kadve Pravachan' at the Haryana Vidhan Sabha Complex on Friday, had said that "if you for these people, you are responsible for this absurd nonsense".
After his tweet backfired, Dadlani then issued a public apology and announced his decision to quit the politics.
"It feel bad that I hurt my Jain friends and my friends Arvind Kejriwal and Satyendar Jain. I hereby quit all active political work/affiliation," he said.
Dadlani, who had composed the song '5 Saal Kejriwal' which became the hallmark of the AAP campaign during the Delhi Assembly elections, also urged people to not mix religion and politics.
Delhi CM and AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal also too took to Twitter to praise the Jain monk and said that his family deeply respects Tarun Sagar. He said that the tweet disrespecting the Jain Monk was unfortunate.
AAP minister Satyendar Jain also apologised on Dadlani's behalf.
After the first day of the monsoon session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha was adjourned, Tarun Sagar delivered his address at the Haryana Legislative Assembly on Friday which was attended by Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki, members of the House as well as bureaucrats.
