Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said on Saturday that four to five people were arrested in the Bhilwara incident on Friday itself, as reported by the news agency PTI. The incident pertains to the alleged gang rape and murder of a 14-year-old girl, whose body parts were found in a coal furnace. Gehlot further said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is raising the issue of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh to dilute the issue of Manipur.

"Four to five accused in the Bhilwara incident were arrested yesterday itself. We take action on time, but they (the BJP) want to dilute the issue of Manipur, which is why they are raising the issue of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. This is politically unacceptable," Ashok Gehlot said, as quoted by PTI.

Speaking on the incident, IGP Ajmer Range Lata Manoj Kumar said that four arrests have been made pertaining to the incident, and the team is collecting the oral, physical, and scientific evidence, as reported by PTI. She further said that the aim is to complete the investigation as soon as possible and ensure that the guilty get maximum punishment.

"Four arrests have been made so far. Our team is collecting oral, physical, and scientific evidence because there is no eyewitness to the incident. Two women involved in this crime have been detained, Lata Manoj Kumar said, as quoted by PTI. "Our aim is to complete the investigation as soon as possible, take it to a logical conclusion, and ensure that the guilty get maximum punishment," she added.

While interacting with the media, Gehlot said that the state government will not tolerate those who molest women. He further said that the police are taking swift action. "We will not tolerate those who molest girls and women. I have ordered stringent action against them. The police are taking swift action in such cases," Gehlot said, as quoted by PTI.

Calling Rajasthan a "peace-loving state," Gehlot said that there are efforts being made to defame the state by drawing parallels with Manipur. He further said that Incidents are happening in every state, and there is a need to collectively educate society about the rapes and atrocities.

"Rajasthan is a peace-loving state. There is an effort to defame Rajasthan by comparing it with Manipur. Incidents are happening in every state. Don't they see the incidents that happen in Madhya Pradesh? The son of a BJP MLA is involved in it. We need to collectively educate society about the rapes and atrocities," Gehlot said, as quoted by news agency ANI.
