New Delhi: Tension has continued along the India-Pakistan border, with over 375 ceasefire violations from the Pakistani side killing at least 12 of our army jawans, reportedly  since the surgical strikes by India on terror launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on September 28-29 night.

The surgical strikes were in response to an attack on an Army camp in Uri on September 18, in which 19 Indian soldiers were killed.

Ever since Pakistan appears to be baffled and is resorting to unlawful firing and shelling in the civilian areas.

Pakistan Army on Wednesday resorted to heavy shelling and firing at Indian positions along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu region. Pakistan Army initiated indiscriminate ceasefire violation since 9 a.m. on Indian Army posts along the LoC in Bhimber Gali, Kris hna Ghati and Naushera sectors of Poonch and Rajouri districts.

On Tuesday, three Indian soldiers were killed and body of one of them was found brutally mutilated by Pakistan’s Border Action Team near the Line of Control in J&K’s Machil Sector.

The beheading is the second incident of mutilation of a soldier's body in less than a month. The first was the barbaric incident at the LoC in Kashmir in which the body of an Indian Army jawan, Mandeep Singh was mutilated after being killed by terrorists.

The Indian Army has vowed revenge, saying “the cowardly incident will be responded to appropriately."

India issued a demarche to Pakistan on continued violation of ceasefire along the LoC and strongly condemned increased concentration of terrorists observed across the border in the vicinity of Pakistani forward posts.

This was the third such demarche this month.
