Xiaomi Redmi 6A goes on sale for first time in India at Rs 5,999; Here's how to get one

The Chinese smartphone company on September 5 unveiled Redmi 6A along with two other models – Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro.

Redmi 6A, touted to be one of the most affordable smartphones unveiled by Xiaomi in India, will finally be available for online retailing from today. The Redmi 6A will go on a flash sale on Mi.com and Amazon.in at 12 pm today. Reportedly, the company will offer limited units and buyers must be quick to bag the opportunity. It is advisable to fill the payment details beforehand in order to increase your chances of bagging Redmi 6A. It is to be noted that users have be registered on Amazon website to participate in the Redmi 6A flash sale. On Mi webiste, customers will have to login using their Xiaomi account or Facebook or Google account to be a part of the flash sale. The Chinese smartphone company on September 5 unveiled Redmi 6A along with two other models – Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro. Some attractive features of the handset include Face Unlock, dual VoLTE, and 3,000mAh battery. As per Mi website, Redmi 6A will be up for sale at Rs 5,999 for a 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage variant. The Redmi 6A variant with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage will cost Rs 6,999. The company has also mentioned that for the entire Redmi 6 series these are internal price for the first two months and it could increase from third month onwards. Redmi 6A comes with a dedicated microSD slot as well with up to 256GB storage support and is a dual-SIM smartphone with dual VoLTE support. The Redmi 6A (2GB RAM and 32GB) variant also has a dedicated microSD slot with 256GB support. In a special launch offer, Jio customers will get 100GB of additional data and instant cashback worth Rs. 2,200 on buying the smartphone. Specifications The all new Xiaomi Redmi 6A comes with a wide 5.45-inch HD+ (720x1440-pixel) display and Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 9.6 software. Processor on the Redmi 6A is 12nm Helio A22 processor clocked at 2.0 Ghz. Both the smartphone variants has 13MP rear camera with PDAF, Standard HDR and f/2.2 aperture. The smartphone also has a 5MP front camera which includes the AI-driven Portrait mode as well.
