New Delhi: Popular messenger app Whatsapp will soon allow users to access their accounts in as many as four devices.
Currently, users can access their accounts on Whatsapp's web application while being connected to their smartphone app. So users who have wanted to be able to use their account on more than 2 devices will soon be able to do that.
WABetaInfo, a fan website that tracks WhatsApp beta, revealed on Twitter that the feature is currently being developed.
"Yes, it's the ability to use your WhatsApp account from 4 devices at the same time.
Under development, but it's great!," said the tweet.
A screenshot attached in the tweet suggests that Wi-Fi connectivity will sync data across multiple devices.
The update, however, left many questions, like whether it will work across platforms, unanswered.
The same account has shared several other changes that users may get to see soon. For instance, another tweet revealed that WhatsApp is testing a feature that will allow users to search for messages on the basis of dates.
"WhatsApp is testing a Search by date feature! The feature is under development and it will be available in the future," it tweeted.
Other new updates include a WhatsApp Messenger Beta 2.20.70.21 app for iOS users. The app is also testing a new bubble color for the dark mode.
